I finally took the plunge and purchase my FT-991A, a Hustler 6-BTV antenna and all the accessories, pieces and parts to get it installed. The 991A was supposed to be back ordered until mid-November but got an email this morning that it shipped and is expected to be delivered on Monday!

Working on getting everything put together to install a ft-857 in our new to us old truck. So far I bought a new Tram 1180 and Lidos heavy duty coffee cup holder mount. Still hoping to find a MNO fender mount for a 2001 Ford F150 before I resort to a MNO L bracket.

If you already have the NMO antenna, just drill a hole - that's what it's designed for!

I am with you there I am a total hole driller. ( Used to do it for a living.) I have three other rigs and they are all drilled. But we are thinking a camper might be in the future for this truck. Its a old truck but real low miles perfect camper truck.

I came home from a ham swap with 2 signal/function generators. Tomorrow I’m picking up a paddle at the club’s project night. You guys are real enablers.

Well, it took two months, but I got the email I had been expecting from PacParts. The interconnect cable is NLA. They refunded my payment. Would have much rather had the cable than the $69. The search resumes.

Interpreting “electronics or radio related” loosely…
    New batch of QSL cards.

They arrived in the mail today:

My last radio related purchase was a MagnaKeyer from a member here on the QRZed.

Its not new and I did not buy it, but I did drag it out of my garage where its been hiding for over twenty years is a Hallicrafters T.O. Keyer Model HA-1. Plugged it in and turned it on, and no bang! Plugged in a keyer and tried it out and it seems to be in okay shape, as in it worked. So now I guess I have no reason not to re-start learning code.
