And the first part of August, read three of The Coming Collapse series of novels by James Wesley Rawles, Survivors, Patriots, and Founders.

And now I ve got this weird urge to hoard pre-1965 silver coins and move to Idaho…

This is a great series. He and Matt Bracken would both be required reading if I was asked.

Don't discount or forget the three important Bs: beans, bullets, and bandages.

Gulag Archipelago - thought I'd read it as a kid but didn't realize I'd read a short 500 or so edited down version in paperback. But that is depressing so just finished Candide - a copy I picked up on a trip to sturgis in a second hand bookstore. Now also reading the manuals for a Yaesu radio and an Alinco radio. But hard to focus with being on call for work and the general craziness or work this year. I think I need a two or three year vacation.

I'm in the middle of the book, reading now. The main character in the book learned code at age nine. At the start of the American Civil War he was the youngest telegraphist in the Union Army at age twelve.

Just started Danny Dunn and the Anti-Gravity Paint. First time I read it was in 5th grade. Forgot how it ended. No spoilers please.
