    Hello,
I am looking to replace the speaker in my IC-730, however I can't seem to find the exact part nor a part that seems to meet the same specifications. Anyone have any ideas of where to find the part?

Measure the speakers diameter. The impedance is usually 8 ohms and it needs to handle 2 watts.
It just needs to be the proper diameter and depth. There are numerous examples listed on eBay.

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

Measure your current one then go here: http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en/audio-products/speakers/720966 and use those dimensions to narrow the list down. Be sure to mark the "in stock" box first so you don't end up finding something that isn't there, and remember you can use the control key to select more than one item in the catagory lists. When it comes to the "shape" category, don't ask me what the difference is between "circular" and "round" hihi. Mouser uses a similar system and you can also try other vendors like Jameco etc. The speaker size is probably something fairly common I would think.

    Cheers and 73,

    Mark.

I may have one. Measure your speaker and I will compare to the one I have. It was taken out of an Icom radio many years ago. If it is the proper size I will send it to you.

I have had it for about 20 years and still knew where it was. Here are some photos of it with a ruler showing dimensions. Let me know if it looks like a good match and I will send it to you.
