I just purchased a TS590SG and found it to be a great radio for the price. Having a sub receiver with the 590SG would be great. Well, now you can have a sub receiver and here's how to do it:

This can even be done using a cheap SWR type receiver, like the Sony ICF-SW7600G.

It's a very basic idea and it works.

Is the DRV jack on that 590sg an RCA jack? IF so can you run a cable from it to the receive only antenna connection on a radio so equipped (such as a TS2000)?

The DRV jack on the back of the TS590SG is in fact an RCA F/M jack. As for the TS2000, I don't know what the connection is that you are asking about? If it's a connection for a beverage type antenna, then yes.
