I'm trying to set up a Kenwood TM-D710GA as a remote Echolink repeater node (-R configuration). I've followed the instructions in the manual and I'm well versed on using Echolink. It seems that the RTS control signal is not being detected by the radio, so the radio doesn't transmit when a remote user connects in and hits the virtual "mic key" through Echolink.

Is anyone out there using a TM-D710GA as an Echolink node in sysop mode? I'm starting to wonder if there is some step that needs to be done that isn't listed in the TM-D710GA manual to use sysop mode.

Not sure about your radio, But I believe Echolink uses CTS for PTT.

I hadn't previously seen that (thanks for the link) -- looks to be comprehensive although a few things are out of date. There is also a page on the EchoLink Web site: http://www.echolink.org/v71a.htm
