There's also the issue of people who need a full frontal nuclear dope slap. Like "sovereign citizens" and folks who don't take even minimal care of their cars. What would they do to aircraft?

"You've seen us drive, now watch us fly!"

"Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."

"If nobody does it, there's probably a very good reason."

I’ve decided (right now as a matter of fact) that I’m the “Elon Musk” of flying cars. You can start sending me billions of dollars to study the idea.

PayPal Friends & Family... My emails good on the ‘zed.*

*Sarcasm font... don’t send me anything... unless you really want to.

JNJ's pic is a Taylor Aerocar. It received CAA certification in 1956, but Molt Taylor was unable to get enough orders to put it into production. He also designed several homebuilt A/C.

    That makes my head hurt.

Actually, with mom and luggage they might get up in ground effect - until the first obstacle. I’ll bet the useful payload on these flying cars is about two fit adults and a sack lunch.

Can you imagine the average driver doing weight and balance calculations, runway distance vs density altitude, etc.? Yeah right. The flying car would have to do all of that and more by itself.

Yes, and while I think that we can all appreciate the comedic value of the so-called Sovereign Citizen "movement", giving them flight would be nuts. Ideally, we would put them all on a Gilligan's Island and surround them with cameras, Truman Show style, so that we can enjoy their antics in safety.

I see too many people that shouldn't even be driving a car on the ground, much less in the air.

Is it the original one, and if so, does it come with the Darwin Award?
