    SERGE,

CONGRATS ON YOUR FB QRZ PAGE AND MANY YEARS OF HAM RADIO.

SERGE, REGARDING YOUR ????? so what is the difficulty.

SERGE, THERE IS NO EASY ANSWER AS WHY SOME FOLKS DON'T UPLOAD LOGS.

I RECALL WHEN I FIRST BECAME A HAM, I WAS SO THRILLED TO RECEIVE AND SEND
    QSL CARDS.........WOW.....THOSE WERE THE DAYS.......

NOW DAYS, I HAVE BECOME TOO LAZY AND USE THE VARIOUS SERVICES FOR
    ELECTRONICE LOGGING.

SOME FOLKS RESIST HAVING A COMPUTER IN THEIR SHACK BECAUSE THEY FEEL

THATS IT IS NOT REAL HAM RADIO IF THEY HAVE A COMPUTER IN THE SHACK.

GO FIGURE.......YOUR DAMMED IF YOU AND DAMMED IF YOU DON'T...

MY QRZ PAGE DETAILS MY PHILOSOPY ON QSLing.

I agree 100%, rejecting any legitimate QSL is just plain lazy it would seem. There should be a way all hams can log into one system an upload their QSOs to be matched. Images of cards as well. I don't really care so much about awards, Just like the LOG to reflect reality.

After a moment of personal joy, what do you do with cards received?

Imagine the cost to print and mail over 7000 cards, many took over 10 years to arrive.

Do you still use a ribbon typewriter, white-out and carbon paper?

It would be nice to have one-stop shopping for those who log, many don't even log.

    "...many don't even log."

Also many just refuse to confirm, and hide behind a QSL manager front to avoid receiving confirmation requests.

I probably have about 100 countries/states/grids on multiple bands that go unconfirmed. IF those QSOs were confirmed I would have 5B WAS and a few other awards.

Then there are the delayed confirmations that do not jive because the other party has changed their QTH since the date the QSO took place. So now their QTH does not match what you submitted even though it was valid at the time of the QSO. And no way to fix it apparently. I came to this conclusion after I had multiple QSOs go from confirmed to unconfirmed status and I researched to find the other party had changed their registered QTH for their license with the FCC. Many times it is when they move from one state to another state. Seems strange to me that you can have multiple QSOs with one station that span months and are confirmed then all of a sudden they are void because the other party moved or they did not confirm the QSO until after they had moved to a new QTH.

It is because they did not create a new operating location in LoTW and overwrote the existing location?

    Here are just two examples:

How can a ZF2 station be in the USA ? And no, they were not operating here, this station is a US Ham (who I have
QSOd with multiple times under his US callsign) who was operating while on vacation in the Cayman Islands.

The reason that I do not "upload" my contacts to QRZ is that I find it difficult, then I have some hams want to confirm contact with me that i have never worked. I prefer paper QSL cards. I enjoy going through them and letting others see them when they visit my shack. Internet based logs have just never appealed to me. The picture of my shack is back from when I figured out how to upload a picture but that skill has since been lost.

I understand why QRZ does not accept paper QSLs.
There is a lot of work involved validating paper QSLs compared to electronic QSL confirmation.
You would need to mail the cards to a designated address or bring them to a local volunteer,
then that person would need to manually check hundreds or thousands of QSL cards.

It is a shame paper QSLs validated in LoTW cannot be transferred to QRZ.
I understand why the ARRL does this as well.
They do not want to give away for free the effort that went into validating paper QSLs.

Perhaps, QRZ should negotiate a deal with the ARRL to be able to transfer LoTW paper QSL credits for a nominal fee.
And in turn, QRZ could charge its members who want paper cards validated a fee or maybe include it as part of QRZ membership fees.
I would certainly pay a reasonable fee to get my paper QSLs validated for QRZ awards.
This would be an additional revenue stream for the ARRL with little effort on their part.

I've heard it explained before and I may be getting something wrong but getting a credit from a card checker does NOT put that info into your LoTW log. Its simply a credit towards an award.

    You might be right.
I am still waiting for some paper QSLs before my first visit to my local ARRL QSL checker.
